Repeating the same phrases, finding the right client handout, and setting the right language for each workflow can all add up fast.
This month's updates are designed to remove a few of those steps: repeated typing, handout searches, language setup, and extra clicks before printing.
Here's what's new in CoVet this June, and how each update helps your team move faster through everyday clinic work.

Product Updates
This month's product updates focus on the small workflow steps that can interrupt charting, client education, and handoffs.
Searchable Client Education Handouts
When a client is still in the room, finding the right handout should not slow you down.
You can now search CoVet's full Vetlexicon handout library from inside any case, with results filtered by species and condition. Your team can find relevant, client-friendly materials faster, then send them in one tap during or right after the visit.
It is a faster way to support client understanding, reinforce recommendations, and send pet owners home with information they can use.

Snippets That Fit Each Case
Reusable snippets already help your team avoid typing the same phrases over and over. Now they can include case details automatically.
Add dynamic variables like patient name, veterinarian name, species, or date directly into your snippet text. When you add the snippet to a record, CoVet fills in the right details from the open case automatically.
Your team can keep one standard phrase across many records, while CoVet fills in the details that make each note specific, accurate, and easy to read.

A Few More Updates
Unified Language Settings: Set the language for recording, the app interface, and generated documents separately, so multilingual teams can work in the languages each moment calls for. Update your language settings →
PDF Presets: Save different PDF layouts for different record types. Each preset stores its own header, footer, logo, font, and clinic details, so you can quickly switch between customized layouts for SOAP notes, referral letters, visit summaries, handouts, and more. Your clinic's preferred formats will soon be even easier to keep consistent across the team. Customize your PDFs →
Print from Record Preview: Send a record to print directly from preview, with fewer clicks and no need to export first. Useful for handoffs, paper files, and client copies. See the new print button →
We've also made behind-the-scenes improvements to help CoVet stay fast and responsive as more teams use it.

From the Field
When 11 VMG practices put CoVet to work, veterinarians got 5 to 10 hours back each week.
Across small animal, ER, specialty, and equine teams, VMG practices used CoVet during normal clinic days: real appointments, real records, and the usual end-of-day documentation pressure.
By the end of the 4-month pilot, participating veterinarians reported saving 5 to 10 hours a week. They also reported improved record quality, less time spent on documentation, and a lighter end-of-day mental load.
For Jen Inbody, Partner / Hospital Administrator at Riverwalk Pet Hospital, the impact reached beyond the exam room:
"CoVet has been wonderful! Our doctors and technicians have saved significant time, and the quality of our record keeping has improved dramatically. In addition, we even use CoVet to record our staff meetings to enable us to provide detailed notes and action items afterward."

Dr. Mike's Pro Tip
Dr. Mike Mossop shares his favorite tips for getting the most out of CoVet.
Start closer to the finished note with custom templates and favorites
If you regularly reshape generated notes, it is worth building a template that matches how you actually chart.
Custom templates let you set the structure, headings, and level of detail you prefer. Saving favorites keeps your go-to formats one tap away in any case.
How it works:
- Open your template settings in CoVet.
- Create a new template, or duplicate an existing one to start.
- Adjust the sections, headings, and detail to match your style.
- Save it as a favorite so it's ready in your next case.
Once it is set, each record starts closer to finished, with less editing and more consistency across your team.
